Windows Phone 7 Series or Redmond integration

Today at the press event Microsoft in Barcelona, Steve Ballmer presented to humanity a new development M $ - the operating system Windows Phone 7 Series.

"Damn, what is this sad remnant with a poor interface?", - Some said. “But this is really cool,” repeated the others. Opinions as always diametrically opposed. However, in all seriousness it can be argued that today Microsoft has surpassed itself on the head: Microsoft presented not a semi-finished product , but a finished product . And not just a product, but an entire infrastructure that is closely integrated into the future OS. Microsoft created this infrastructure over the years, and now XBox Live, Zune and many other services will settle in your phone.

There will no longer be the slobbering that has happened with previous versions of Windows Mobile: Microsoft will control the entire process of creating a Windows Phone device, starting from hard hardware requirements and ending with a user interface. Apparently MS is tired of how HTC rewrites Windows Mobile - from now on the interface of the final product will be maximally aligned with the requirements of Microsoft, i.e. nothing that does not fit into the ecosystem of the default interface of Windows Phone. Goodbye Sense UI.

And so, we are waiting for an updated interface Metro, a strong font and no 3D, shadows and gloss. The system interface will be built on the so-called hubs (also called tiles). Let's look at the interface in pictures (thanks to engadget):

Perhaps many will say that such ideas are no longer new, and it all happened. Yes, that's right, Motorolla Motoblur, HTC Sense have already implemented the idea of integration with social networks, Apple has created the App Store and an excellent gaming platform, etc. However, Microsoft has a chance, they are going in the right direction and they have the resources to do everything right.
