A special version of Opera Mini for MTS involves placing links to the web resources of the operator - Omlet.ru, music and game portals - on the main page of the browser. This will simplify and speed up user access to music, video, games, as well as provide an opportunity to conveniently purchase content directly from the browser window.
MTS is the largest cellular operator in Russia and the CIS countries. The company's consolidated subscriber base in this region exceeds 97.8 million subscribers, of which 69.3 million are in Russia. The company was the first on the market to introduce a range of innovative data services, user applications, and continues to expand the range of value added services (VAS).
“Within the framework of this project, we managed to combine the advantages of the Opera Mini mobile browser, which makes it possible to use the mobile Internet most efficiently and quickly, with the ability to quickly and conveniently buy mobile content. This was made possible through the integration of a web browser with the MTS network platforms. Now our subscribers, using Opera Mini, will be able to buy content with one click, ”said Pavel Roitberg, MTS Director for Products and Services.
Opera Mini is the most popular mobile browser in Russia. Data compression technology allows the browser to reduce traffic by up to 90%. This increases the speed of work in the Internet, and also reduces the cost of mobile Internet. At the same time, Opera Mini allows you to work with full-fledged web pages and provides easy navigation through them.
"Opera Mini is designed to make Internet resources open to all users, regardless of their web skills," said Nuno Sitima, Vice President, Business Software at Opera Software. “Our partnership with MTS simplifies access to business and entertainment content to tens of millions of mobile users in Russia.”
