Apophysis: the free fractal flame editor for Windows

In the liveJoan LJ blog , I caught sight of Apophysis's recommendation :

An open free program for generating “fractal flames” (as well as smoke, light fluxes, intergalactic nebulae, and everything that comes into your head).

Knowing that there are quite a few lovers on Habrahabr to play with visual effects, I in turn recommend this program to you.

Judging by the illustrations on the site, the program is spectacular.
