A small overview of web radio services and Internet players
Lately, especially when there is nothing to do, I often want to include some kind of music for the background (I work more often in silence). Search and fill the player every time with different good songs annoys me wildly. Laziness took her own or the fantasy dried up, but I was tired of every time making a playlist in a similar way, as, however, the usual shuffle. It was decided to try what the web offers. What I found there for myself, I will try to tell. If you can add a delicious url, offer. So, web radio services:
Last.fm - I think everyone knows the service. I knew him before, and I liked him very much until they decided to monetize him. The prospect of paying, even if I did not like $ 3 a month, and the search continued. Although the base by performers, their number, base of interrelations and similarities, and indeed the radio itself is excellent, well, “millions of lemmings cannot be wrong!” =)
GrooveShark - Quite a great replacement for the last, also wants money, and also 3 evergreen papers, but only for disabling advertising (which happy owners of Chrome can turn off for free ;). But it has one drawback, which, at the time of testing, seemed too serious for me: each user can download tracks, and the system chooses the best in quality, and, as a result, the version in size. Thus, the owners of slow Internet remain behind. Yes, and the radio on the similarity with the number of tracks is not an example worse than a fin. Music, of course, also can not be downloaded. Following!
Weborama - Domestic online radio, not a bad base, a smart enough robot making out new music files, a nice interface ( the Gorbunov Bureau tried). By registering we get the opportunity to upload your own tracks, write reviews and other almost useless buns. Plus, it’s download speed, the weborama plays music at 128 kbps — owners of low-speed or torrent-packed lines will be happy. But, first, for music by mood, the main feature of the service, the base seemed to me small; second, the styles of electronic music, which I love more than mitol =), are not represented at all. Download music not through the real methods is also impossible.
Pandora - A pretty good radio, but not available to non-US users:
Dear Pandora Visitor, If you are a woman, it is deeply, deeply and deeply. we are required to restrict its use. But there is no other alternative.
Nuff said, and looking for and using fresh state proxy only for listening to music is somehow not sporty.
Tune.ru - A slightly less pleasant-looking player than a weboram, but slightly more functional. Radio is divided into three: “by genre”, “by mood”, “dance”. You can listen to custom playlists, and download your own track, but download the track is no longer possible. For karmadr lovers face off karma there is a user rating.
Moscow.fm - Excellent service, since August 2007 they record and analyze the broadcast of all Moscow radio stations, i.e. allows you to make flashback and remember how it was. It is a pity that the morning show at the maximum with Bachinsky and Stilavin ended in June 2007, I would love to listen. Many other whistles sit tightly in the service, such as: guessing songs, their social services with blackjack and much more. Quite good placeholder silence.
SHOUTcast radio - Thank you Crea7or . Free service from the creators of winamp, which allows you to create your own Internet radio station and listen to others. As the creators say, thousands of radio stations are represented, many of which really deserve attention. Works search by an impressive number of genres, of course there are ratings.
Station.ru - Thanks to SergeyGrigorev . It broadcasts 7 on-air radio stations: D-fm, Maximum etc, a bit more Internet radio stations and a large number of user selections, such as: “Female rock hits” or “Tender radio”.
However, quite often you just want to find some song, download, and not click on banners, do not write captcha, do not put crutches for VKontakte or browser, that's what was found for such a case:
Vpleer.ru - Elegant and nothing extra: we search, listen and download tracks from vk.com, last.fm and some others.
SimplyPlayer - Same as vpleer, but with the ability to organize music into playlists, a more convenient player that does not change from page to page, and a nice design. And, zest, you can have one playlist for different computers if you log in under one account.
Tagoo - Search for tracks, videos and even programs. Of course, one cannot get away from collective under-bluffs, popular users and other attributes of web_dva_nolnosti. It has its modest tagupedia - information on the performers. I do not use it myself for redundancy of functionality.
Losseless - well, and lastly , for real audiophiles: It searches for unpatched music, most often in FLAC format. I practically did not use it, I can’t say anything good or bad.
')
From the listed services, and some others, I use GrooveShark and Weboram, from mp3-rockers, Simply Player. I do not use Vkontakte - I can not say anything about its applications and its own player.
