As questions began to arise about the buzz privacy issues (Google Buzz), here’s a quick tutorial on this.
1. First of all, close the list of your subscriptions and subscribers from public access. This is done in a personal account (http://www.google.com/profiles/me/editprofile?edit=t#about), a tick "Display a list of my subscriptions and subscribers." By default, this checkbox is enabled, which allows anyone who wants to see your contact list - in theory this could be your entire address book. Uncheck this box.
2. Unsubscribe from all unfamiliar personalities from whom you do not want to receive updates. To do this, go to "Subscriptions" (not "Subscribers"!) And click "Delete" in front of such people. ')
3. So that your updates cannot be read by those you do not want to see in your audience, there are two ways. First, the most brutal: just block unwanted subscribers. To do this, go to "Subscribers" (not "Subscriptions"!) And click "Delete" in front of such people. The second way is more competent - to distribute contacts into groups ("Friends", "Colleagues", "Family", you can create other groups). This is done in the Gmail Contacts section. Then, when you put the update, give it limited access and tick the groups that can see it. Contacts from unmarked groups will not see this update.
Update . It turns out that the first item can be done easier. At the bottom of the "Subscribers" dialog there is a tick "Show in my profile lists of users who I follow, and users who are my subscribers." Remove it and click "Finish".
