Idea: a special meta tag for “Speed Dial”
I think many Opera users use the so-called “Speed Dial” in their work. Stuck no doubt comfortable.
When adding a site to the Speed Dial Opera makes its screenshot, cramming it into a resolution of 1024x768. However, it is sometimes more convenient to have not a screenshot of the site, but a special picture (for example, the site logo). It’s easy to make such a replacement for the browser owner; you already wrote about this on Habré .
For the site owner, there is also a way to make a version of the site specifically for the Speed Dial : Layout for Opera Speed Dial from kizu.

I suggest that the glorious Opera developers make it possible to specify a picture for the Speed Dial using the link tag. Just as the site icon for the iPhone / iPod is indicated:
If such a tag is found, Opera will not take a screenshot, but will copy the image from the href attribute.
