Jacob Nielsen: Web 2.0 spawns useless sites

Jacob Nielsen, a renowned expert in web design, has recently expressed himself in the sense that more and more useless websites are appearing on the Internet. Technology Web 2.0, in his opinion, in the pursuit of "bells and whistles" makes resource creators forget about such things as design and usability.

The desire to make everything dynamic possible leads to terrible results, Nielsen said. Another unjustified, but very costly item, he called site personalization, which eventually leads users to beautiful, but useless, sites of the 2000 dot-com boom times.
