RBC Daily
reports that Scartel refuses to release phones with VoIP technology, because otherwise the Yota network simply will not sustain a sharp increase in the volume of transmitted traffic. It turns out that this growth, even without VoIP, turned out to be more significant than expected (not only in Krasnodar and Sochi,
as it was reported before , but also in Moscow): although the number of subscribers reached a pre-planned figure, Scartel assumed before that each subscriber’s activity below.
The
VoIP phone named in the news is the same “Yota Cosmos” that was mentioned
there and here , for example, in Habrahabr. Now it turns out that such a phone will never be produced at all, because other types of devices are now in demand on the mobile device market, so being an innovative company, Scartel cannot afford to develop in this form.
