Base stations disconnect

A few days ago, Samsung signed another agreement with Yota for the delivery of more than 5,000 Mobile WiMAX mobile communication base stations and access control routers since March 2010. This means that the Internet in the air, and, fortunately, not only in Moscow (and in 15 new cities in Russia for Yota) will be more. So now I'm on the way to the train to work and from it I can count on the extra 15 minutes of dullness on the Internet. Given the fact that the situation at the customs with the delay of the equipment has been ruined, you can be sure that the terms Yota and Samsung will withstand.

And this news arrived just after the article in RBC, where the public was introduced to the fact that Yota is postponing a project to introduce VoIP-terminals, which was also developed in conjunction with Samsung. The reason for this is the insufficient capacity of existing networks that will not withstand the increased traffic. The fact is that the development of the network and the growth of new subscribers turned out to be much faster than the planned indicators. And the truth is (who is what, and I'm talking about trains), the increase in users is noticeable to the naked eye - on average, 2 people in each car are being visited by vkontaktik on their way home. At work it is not enough for him, or something.

In a word, the new contract allows us to expect that this year the release of VoIP terminals will take place. Fortunately, Samsung is ready for this: the company has long been successfully developing WiMAX-enabled terminals, for example Samsung Mondi, operating in the American Sprint network. However, specifically for Yota, new models will be offered, created with the requirements of the company itself and the wishes of users. By the way, you can share these wishes in kamentah.
