For the first time in the last 20 years, an airport has been built from scratch in Russia (at the site of the formerly dismantled)

Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports that the first plane landed in Gelendzhik, where the construction of a new airport is being completed; also reports that this is the only air harbor in Russia built in the last two decades, built from scratch.

The construction was carried out for more than five years on the site of the former airport, which was first dismantled and then built all over again: a new runway (longer than the previous one, and from a different angle), a new passenger terminal, etc.

Regular flights will begin in a month. In May, airplanes will be received from Moscow.
