More than a billion tweets per month

Twitter traffic has consistently exceeded one billion posts per month, according to Pingdom statistics .



The billion mark was taken back in December, and in January 2010 the number of messages reached 1.2 billion, that is, 40 million per day. For three months, growth has been maintained at about 17% per month.

For the year (January to January), Twitter has grown more than 16 times. More tweets have been published today than in September 2008.
