Google Docs instead of OpenOffice in Ubuntu Netbook Edition

On the last Ubuntu Netbook Remix Blueprint mailing list , strange news is reported : it is planned to remove OpenOffice from the next version of the Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.04 distribution, and all documents will open in Google Docs by default.

The rationale behind this decision was that OpenOffice is supposedly not very suitable for netbooks that have too weak computing power.

In the same distribution, the default search engine will be changed from Google to Yahoo.

After this information was carried out to the public , this decision caused a storm of criticism and a violent wave of discussion on the same mailing list. So there is a chance that it will be canceled. However, even in the case of exclusion from the distribution, no one bothers to put OpenOffice manually.
