LG Philips introduced the world's first sheet of colored e-paper

A joint venture between LG and Philips, which ranks second in terms of production of LCD panels, on Sunday presented the world's first working sample of colored electronic paper of A4 format. The device can display 4096 colors, has extremely low energy consumption and at the same time it bends excellently due to a sheet thickness of 0.3 mm.

Let me remind you that earlier the same company created a sample of black and white e-paper of the standard size for office paper.

The scope of application is huge: in the near future it will be possible to turn almost any surface into a dynamically updated billboard, and futuristic newspapers that receive text from the Internet in real time will cease to be a thing from science fiction films.
