If it is necessary or interesting for you to learn Japanese, then you will probably begin by learning syllabic alphabets,
hiragana and
katakanas . For this, I enjoyed using the
iKana program, but many of my friends cannot do the same, because the developer writes software only for Mac OS X (and also takes € 12 for it).
I have always believed that learning the words of an unfamiliar language “by cards”, and even in the form of an interactive test, is the most effective and geeky way. Therefore, I sketched out a small saytik,
http://tr.im/ learnkana , where you can practice learning the symbols of the kana. At first, you will not have the slightest idea what sign is in front of you. Just choose the option that you think is right, and after a while you will start to memorize them, and the correct answers will be more. When you can easily pass the first test, go to the second, and then to the third, and so on.
')

Each test consists of 50 questions. For each question there are 4 possible answers. There is no timer, take your time. The correct answer for each question is highlighted in green.
Obviously, the project is not at the stage of a complete, finished product, so I decided to place it in my ~ / Dropbox / Public folder - in my opinion, a great way to have free and easy hosting mini sites, if they are written using html + css ( My project is exactly this: some html + css, flavored with jQuery). It turned out that not all Japanese characters are equally well displayed, so with the help of a small number of python scripts, I got a set of png-images.
If all of this seems interesting to you, then I will add tests on
katakana and, I hope, gradually will be engaged in adding
kanji , Chinese characters used in Japanese writing.
update: Added tests on katakana (except for special additional characters for transliterating foreign words).
Attention update! - I transferred the files to a reliable hosting at this address . Unfortunately, updating the link in tr.im takes some time. Thank you for understanding.Last, corrected from minor bugs and more clever version - in chrome web store
here . If someone really wants to use it not in chrome, then
here is the archive with source codes.
