Laptop AST PenExec 3/25 SL

Outside the window is Friday night, which means it's time to write a post on Habr.
Now I will talk about a wonderful “machine” that served me faithfully at the very beginning of my journey as a programmer.
Meet the laptop AST PenExec 3/25 SL!
Its characteristics, excellent for those times:

• The processor - 80386
• Memory - basic 640Kb + “extended” 3264Kb, total 3904Kb
• Hard disk - 40MB (just like in that song)
• Operating system - DOS + top "Microsoft Windows for Pen Computing 1.0"
• Additionally - a stylus on batteries (unfortunately, it is necessary to repair) and an external drive for 3 inch floppy disks
• Year of manufacture - presumably 1993

The basic functionality was already working without problems, although I did not thoroughly check it (and the level of use is different for everyone).
I looked at the information about the system (I found it more precisely) in ... one of the Word's menus, I could no longer find an adequate way. = (

But Windows is enough, we will leave already in fast convenient DOS = D. More precisely, we will leave and immediately go to Norton Commander:

And I'd add on my own - the laptop was used by me to study Pascal at school in grades 6 and 7, as well as to study assembler already in grade 8 (for the Kalashnikov mailing list). It was a good time, great car, first programs and surprises.
I still remember the program for studying the “case” operator, where by the number from 1 to 7 it was necessary to derive the day of the week. So, I thought that the system was checking spelling and was very surprised when he calmly brought out Ponedel'nik. = D And the assembler is generally a separate story, having studied it becomes much clear, and the subject of Computer Organization at the university is easy and pleasant to learn! =)
"But this time has passed, it was a long time ago ...". Today we must move on, but do not forget our roots.
