I am not sure that I am writing to the correct blog, but I think that there is much to learn for specialists in both areas.
Today I observed an interesting case in the practice of SEO in Latvia. On December 6, 2009, some radical organization published on its website the personal data of car owners, which are decorated with various attributes of the Russian Federation. Or rather, the numbers, registration number of the car and the name, surname and address of the owner. I will not discuss the legal and moral aspects of this idea, this does not apply to our topic.
Interesting here is what. Of course, the media has inflated a scandal around this incident. He was picked up on blogs, twitter, forums, etc. And, of course, no one forgot to put a link to the list. You do not need to be a great SEO expert to understand how this turned out for the site: PageRank 4 and an increase in traffic 3 times in one day.

And the most unpleasant thing for people on the list is that by entering any of the last names into Google, the first links will not be to their home pages or profile in draugiem.lv, but to this list. Now their personal data of these people are available more than ever.
Ironically, outraged residents of Latvia, discussing how good it would be to get even with the authors, actually helped their master plan. C'est la vie.
