Google negotiates close collaboration with US intelligence

Google is in the final stages of negotiations with the US National Security Agency (NSA). The parties intend to sign an agreement on close cooperation in the field of cyber security.

According to a source at Google, the conclusion of a contract with the NSA does not mean that the US government will get access to any data of users working with the services of the Internet giant. It is argued that the main objectives of the agreement are to investigate the circumstances of the latest hacker attack on Google, as well as to create an effective defense of the Internet giant and its users from future attacks.

After the conclusion of the relevant agreement, Google and NSA will be able to “exchange important information” that does not violate the principles of the Internet company. Sources emphasize that the National Security Agency will not be able to view search queries and e-mail users.
