The RIT-2007 organizing team begins accepting pre-orders for a DVD with conference materials. The collection will include two DVD-ROM with video files of all reports of all eight sections. The cost of the kit for conference participants will be 1024 rubles, for those who did not participate in the conference - 2048 rubles. 1. Little information!
This is not an announcement about the start of sales, this is an announcement that everything will be. Such an answer to all questioners on ICQ;)
Of course, we will prepare disks - we will tell everything in details and details, we will make photos, we will write out exact information on how to order, on delivery, etc. By the way, we plan to make delivery throughout Russia included in the price.
2. Why so expensive?
It is clear that this disk is rather a souvenir, it is pleasant to hold a box with two beautifully decorated disks in your hands.
Moreover, we plan to distribute a lot of disks for free in exchange for some useful information for us. For example, we will make a questionnaire for all those who took our seminars with a large questionnaire. I don’t know exactly, so I’m not announcing.
There are other ideas - for example, donate a disk to each technical department. But it is still a thought. Anyway, you can't make money on these disks, no matter how we are accused of it. Neither selling it for 500, nor selling it for two thousand. The only difference is that for two thousand there is a chance to at least recoup the work of the guys on it.
Yes, the wheels are more expensive than expected - wrong in the calculations, I'm sorry.
3. When will it be ready?
When - not everything is processed, unfortunately. We have 600 gigabytes of raw video mixed up, which we gradually encode and prepare for recording. Planned for the end of May, but it seems that we do not have time.
