The first compact cameras with 30x zoom
Almost simultaneously, two manufacturers of photographic equipment announced compact digital cameras with an optical zoom of 30x: these are the Olympus SP-800UZ and the Fujifilm FinePix HS10 . Naturally, both companies position them as “first in the world” in their class.
The cameras differ in their characteristics: the Olympus CCD sensor has 14 megapixels, and the Fujifilm has a branded CMOS 10.3 MP, the size of both is 1 / 2.3 ″. The lenses are different: the Olympus has 28-840 mm, and the Fujifilm - 24-720 mm.

The size of the SP-800UZ is much smaller and lighter, but the HS10 can shoot FullHD 1080p video, while the Olympus is only 720p.
