Just by mentioning your last name or nickname, you “evoke” the spirit of a person — he learns that someone has remembered him, that something is happening somewhere concerning him.

This is explained, apparently, by the use of RSS feeds generated by blog search engines. Convenient and effective tool for tracking the mention of your nickname in a network connection. But much more interesting is not the mechanism itself, but how it looks from the outside.

In ordinary life, this phenomenon is difficult to find an analogy. On the other hand, comparisons with magic spells and disturbances of the magic field that other magicians feel are easy to come to mind. Someone mentioned my nickname in his magical verbal passages - and in no time I would know about it. Maybe this is my old friend remembered me? Or sworn enemy again plotting? The answer will be quick and accurate - nothing will pass unnoticed in a world riddled with a field of social magic.
