Hitachi, Panasonic and Toshiba will delight with new wireless devices
In the year 2010, we still look longingly at the dusty tangle of wires under the desk and sigh: “Where are you, wireless technologies?”
Above the nose: Hitachi, Panasonic and Toshiba are preparing in the second half of the year to release devices with wireless 60 GHz chips that provide 7 GHz bandwidth and 1.5 Gbps data transfer rate. None of the companies mentioned so far reveals the secret of which technologies will be used in new devices - WirelessHD or WiGig. However, it is known that Hitachi and Panasonic intend to use such additional WiGig functionality, such as, for example, media access control (MAC). This feature can even be embedded in portable devices — for downloading digital content from stand-alone interactive information devices. ')
