HP OmniBook 2100

The other day, one friend asked to see the laptop (it was necessary to remove the Windows password). When I saw him, for a while "could not come to his senses." What a touch this ancient Notik :)

Its configuration is not intricate - it is an Intell Pentium MMX processor at 232 MHz, RAM is only 96 meters, and a cog is 3 Gb. On this miracle, the Windows 2000 test build # 2195 feels quite comfortable. The Windows is still stable, no lags have been noticed.

There was nothing but a mobile phone at hand, so don’t judge for the quality of the photos, pliz. The laptop in my hands stayed on the force for 15 minutes because of what I couldn’t study it in detail, much less open and sfot the insides.

As you can see, the menu and power keys have already fallen off, but in general, the keyboard works well, the keys do not stick.


I launched Sandra (she was on the laptop) so that the system parameters could be seen.


Left view. Compartment for PCMCIA cards, sound, power, lock. On the right is a CD-drive (not sfotkal). From below, as you can see, there is a pocket (white rectangle) where you can put a piece of paper, such as who owns the laptop (in the likeness of what is found on school bags (and not only them)).


Back view. One USB connector, COM- and LPT-ports, a D-Sub-connector for connecting the monitor and some other for the monitor, but unfortunately (or fortunately?) I didn’t meet with the docking station (thanks to SeLarin ), as well as the PS / 2 port.


On this note, instead of diode indicators, this display is used. I personally like it :)


There are no Russian letters on the keyboard, so they were marked with a marker.
