Champions config. Russians set a record in 3DMark Vantage
Just a few hours ago, the participants of the Russian overclocking and benchmarking team OCClub.ru set a world record in one of the most difficult graphics disciplines to date - 3DMark Vantage. The record was set by well-known Russian overclockers - Smoke (the best overclocker in Russia according to the international competition base HWBot.org ) and Lex_ (one of the most competent hardmod overclockers in Russia, our "technomaniac"). The record was set in the discipline of single video cards (1xGPU) using the “novelty» Radeon HD5870, overclocked to 1395/1256 MHz (core / memory frequency, respectively) and cooled with liquid nitrogen. The result was 26238 3DMarks. The previous record was set by American overclockers Brian Y. and was 26146 3DMarks.

To obtain such a high result, the Intel Core i7 960 (3.2GHz) processor was overclocked to the frequency of 5,200 MHz when cooled with liquid nitrogen to a temperature of -90 degrees Celsius. RAM ran at a frequency of 2085 MHz with timings 7-8-7-20 1T. The frequencies of the video card were 1395/1256, and the temperature during the test on the video card was maintained at -152 degrees. The core voltage was just crazy 1.58 V. Let me remind you that the core voltage is 1.16 V. The majority of overclockers are just afraid to supply voltage above 1.4 V. But nothing scares the Russians! Voltmod core and OCP mod did their job. I would like to separately note the perseverance of our overclockers, because the achievement of such a record was given to them with great difficulty, more than one Dewar with liquid nitrogen was transferred to training.
