Mastery Note

Once in the training room for climbers, I watched the master of sports, who climbed the track he had just wound up. It was a track of category 5a.

What is “5a”? This is a wall for beginners. If you are the first time in the climbing area, category 5a is for you. You will climb it.

But as he climbed this track! Smooth movements amazed. Anyone can climb this route - but for the first time I saw a person doing such transitions from foot to foot, so gracefully adhered to the clues. It seemed that he was not climbing the track - he stroked her, if you like, talking to her with his movements. Each movement was so economical that simple walking seemed to take more energy.
')
I later also tried this track. But body movements seemed angular, I constantly hooked the wall with my foot, I had to pull up on my arm to complete the movement. Because I am not a master of sports. After that, I started climbing simple tracks along with those that are on the verge of my possibilities.

A similar thing happens with good developers and web projects. Mastered the scripting language - let's make a website. Three - five sites, and are already running towards services. A couple of services - and give load programming, project management, content management, new concepts and cutting-edge ideas. And so on. Interestingly, such people (undoubtedly, very capable!) Are constantly in the “newcomer” zone. They work in the area where they are not yet specialists. And becoming specialists, move to another area.

Forgetting that mastery is comprehended not only by the “red point” category of difficulty, but also by the beauty of doing simple things.

* Red point - climbing slang, means a route with the maximum category of complexity, which the trainer is capable of.

PS I think you understand: this is not a call not to develop.
