It seems to me that the respected Habrasoobshchestvo has not yet seen this report, although earlier when discussing any topic related to Wikipedia, there were constantly questions of a financial nature. The colorful and beautifully designed annual report of the Wikimedia Foundation will answer regular questions like “Why does Wikipedia need so much money?”. It must be read by everyone who has such questions!
Warning: The report will not answer the question of when Wikipedia finally hangs up advertising from Google, but readers will find out that 12% of the money collected is spent on collecting money. =))
We are very pleased to announce the release of the second annual report of the Wikimedia Foundation, covering the 2008/2009 fiscal year . The Wikimedia Foundation's annual report covers a full year of operations, specifically pointing out our fiscal operations, programs and informational successes, key milestones, and, of course, the work of thousands of volunteers and offices around the world.
This year you will see a new annual chronology showing the main events that took place during the year, as well as a center distributing selected details and facts about an incredible article created during the previous fiscal year.
As always, the images and information in the report are all licensed under Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0.
