According to CNews , the searches that took place on December 6 at the Moscow offices of IT companies are connected with the investigated case of large-scale deliveries of computer hardware and software to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.

Inspections and searches that were conducted today in the Moscow offices of IBM, R-Style and LANIT companies were most likely related to the supply of computer equipment and software to the Russian Pension Fund in 2004–2005. Currently, UBEP employees seized documents and sealed the offices of Gennady Botanov, Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund, and Pavel Averin, Executive Director of the Fund. In addition, searches were conducted at the place of residence of high-ranking employees of IBM, as well as top managers of LANIT and R-Style.

According to reports, LANIT and R-Style participated in large-scale deliveries of equipment for the Pension Fund as IBM contractors. The equipment of the Foundation is a model project of an American company that has been cooperating with the Foundation for many years.
