1000 events in 1.5 years
Hello!
I have long wanted to promote IT-Event.Ru on Habré, but did not dare. And here it happened :) yesterday the announcement of the event # 1000 was published. To this significant date I dedicate this short PR-topic.
The idea to collect information about Russian-speaking IT events, to structure and put in one place was born in the summer of 2008 during the work on the site of one IT company (this company, like many others, has a section on the site “Events”). Then work began on the site, which is slowly being carried out so far.

It turned out that the most important structure of information, because it became difficult to find the right event in a couple of months. Now events are categorized by city, type (exhibitions, seminars, etc.) and key topics (PHP, Testing, Social networks, etc.). For each section there is an RSS feed, t.ch. it is not necessary to constantly go to the site. In addition, by registering, you can specify interests (using keywords) and create your own tape announcements.
In addition to announcements of events, the site periodically publishes presentations and feedback from participants, sometimes videotaped reports. You can register for some of the events directly from our website. You can submit an announcement for publication here .
IT-Event.Ru is not perfect in terms of usability and cannot keep up with absolutely all the events, but it seems to me that there is no more complete base of events in Runet and the service can be useful for both participants and organizers.
I would be glad to criticism and rac. suggestions.
