Last.fm will have music videos

Last.fm social online radio adds a video section that allows users to create their own video channels - in essence, it is analogous to the same personal Last.fm radio stations based on the user's musical preferences. Last.fm is already collaborating with major and independent labels. The company also claims that the quality of the video will be better than on YouTube, and the sound will be encoded in a bit rate of 128 kbps against 64 kbps on YouTube.

Now Last.fm collaborates with independent labels, such as Ninja Tune, Nettwerk Music Group, Domino, Warp, Atlantic, Mute, as well as with huge studios like EMI and Warner. Video of the latest should appear soon. However, Last.fm is not going to stop there and hopes to add videos from other big studios - Universal and Sony Music Group. However, negotiations are already underway.
