It is not a secret for anyone that self-confidence plays an important role in our daily activities, but the findings of the American Psychological Association suggest that
all-only belief that we can be smarter already makes us smarter .
Despite many evidence to the contrary, many believe that intelligence is a fixed indicator of brain productivity, and moreover, that some races and social groups are initially smarter than others. A simple hint of stereotypes about the intellectual inferiority of members of such social groups as women and
black people is quite enough to impair their intellectual performance.
Social psychologist Claude Steele and his collaborators called this phenomenon "stereotypical fear."
However, social psychologists Aronson (Aronson), Fried (Fried) and Good (Good) have developed an "antidote" against the so-called. "Stereotypical fear." They informed some African-American and European American students that intelligence is improving, not fixed, and that many psychological organizations confirm this. The control group students were not told. As a result, those students who received the message noticeably improved their success in school, in contrast to the students who did not receive it.
Always remember this information the next time you run into problems in school, at work or in your hobby. Your intellect is not fixed, and only faith in its improvement
will increase your ability to learn.
And I just used to think that intelligence, which is determined by a variety of genetic factors for each person, is a fixed and constant value. It is pleasant (and most importantly - useful) to know that there is still room for improvement.
