Today marks exactly one week since I changed Windows 7 to Linux Mint . During this time, I discovered a bunch of features of this system. But this article is not about opportunities, but about problems that you may have at the beginning of the adaptation period. Oriented article on those who switched to Linux recently. Problem number 0. Here we have to do something. I want to set up Linux immediately !!!

I think many Windows users have the myth that in any Unix there are a lot of problems with hardware and software, so you need to sit and handle the file. In practice, it turns out that file processing involves installing the right packages and sometimes changing the settings (in the graphical application, by the way, not in the console), although in most cases auto-tuning does everything for you during installation.
For example, remember how much messing with drivers under Win. The drivers on the ATI X1600 card I correctly got up from the third time with a good position of the stars. The sound card up to Win7 was not automatically detected, the network card is still not detected. Linux is much easier!

Problem number 1. Nvidia video card, OpenGL not working

Everything is solved very simply.
