On Habré quite rarely write about games for mobile platforms. I want to replenish the piggy bank of publications, the benefit for this is the reason - the release of the version of the famous game of the nineties Earthworm Jim for
everything that moves mobile phones, including the iPhone.
When downloading Earthworm Jim to my mobile phone, I wondered if the mobile version would bring as much pleasure as the original game brought fifteen years ago. Did the developers manage to leave the same cool 2D graphics, humor and dynamism of the old game? I was also wondering what will happen to the management, because all the buttons of the Sega Mega Drive joystick were used in the game “to the fullest”, and now I have the keyboard of a mobile phone, and not the most convenient one. And I was surprised how well Gameloft handled the task.

The graphics remained untouched, at least the changes are not visible, and this is good. Those who played the original version should appreciate this.
The beauty of the complete danger of the two-dimensional world is complemented by the same kind of humor. Localization is also not let down: we are waiting and the level of Zhopville, and the boss Queen Ulitkosoday

Has something changed at all? There are also changes, but they are made reasonably and relate only to the platform-dependent component - management. It is slightly simplified, but not to such an extent that the game is played with one button. For the “whip” strike and shooting, one button responds, pressed quickly or pinched. The direction of shooting and hitting the worm automatically selects. The impossibility of controlling the sight is a forced move, which, however, completely took with it the interest of passing individual levels. For example, the boss Billy-Musorka is traversed by pressing the strike key to the bitter end.
But on the whole - great! The game will appeal to both those who are nostalgic for NES and Sega Mega Drive, and those who are talking about Earthworm Jim for the first time. The worm can be purchased on
the publisher’s website ; iPhone and iPod Touch owners can download the game directly from the AppStore.
