European Southern Observatory captures the formation of NGC 6334

Scientists from the European Southern Observatory managed to capture the emission nebula in the constellation Scorpio, which is often called Cat's Paw, naturally because of its shape, which resembles the imprint of a cat's paw.

The feline paws, which are 5500 light-years from Earth, were taken with the WFI observation camera at La Silla Observatory (Chile).

Particularly interesting astronomers seemed to be the formation in the lower right part of the image, in their opinion, this is a star whose “life path” comes to an end, or the remnants of a star whose “life path” ended in an explosion.
