Download Firefox and Opera downloads after Microsoft reports a vulnerability in IE
After Microsoft confirmed information about a vulnerability in Internet Explorer during the December attacks on Google, the governments of Germany, France and Australia decided to warn their citizens against using Microsoft’s browser. This caution led to the fact that the number of downloads of alternative web browsers Firefox and Opera made a sharp jump. For example, the number of Opera downloads from Germany has more than doubled, and from Australia - by 37%. In the chart below, provided by Mozilla, the orange area shows 300,000 new browser downloads in Germany after 4 days.
Also, according to a Mozilla spokeswoman, a surge in website traffic from France was seen. Google refused to provide download statistics for Google Chrome. ')
