The other day, indie gaming festival
Independent Games Festival summed up the results in the
Student Showcase nomination.
Last year, our country was represented by the acclaimed
HammerFall (HammerFight) in the west, authored by
Konstantin Koshutin , who had already
gone on sale and many players won the laurels of the best domestic indie :)

But this year it was not without surprises, I mean the Russians.
The experimental game of
Konstantin Gominyuk (
website ) under the uncomplicated name
Mi (
download ) was nominated for the
Student Showcase , but, to my great regret, could not stand the pressure of the strongest competitors, among which there is also a well-known in the ASCIIp0rtal
community .
')
But nevertheless, Mrs. Fortune did not bypass our compatriot (to hell with the framework, Ukraine and Russia are fraternal countries) by party - the game
Mi was mentioned by the festival jury as exemplary and made the list of recommendations. At previous festivals, indie industry monsters like
Portal and
flOw were included in this list.
There is a reason for joy, I think :)
Well, out of 190 participants of the Student Showcase of the current IGF (against 145 games of last year’s festival) only 10 projects received their awards. With the list of winners can be found on the
official website , with a list of finalists -

UPDATEIn addition to the downloadable version, there is still a
flash port and a version for the
iPhone by
badimPS Taking this opportunity, I want to recommend my modest blog to fans of independent games -
