Yesterday the number of working GLONASS satellites increased by 1
Roscosmos reports that on January 18 (that is, yesterday) satellite No. 714 was returned to the GLONASS system (at 23 positions of the third orbital plane), which was removed from it on December 27, 2009 for temporary maintenance.
Thus (as it is easy to see on the IAC KVNO TSNIIMash website), now 17 of 22 space vehicles are used for their intended purpose. Two more satellites are waiting to be entered into the system after their launch in December, and two more continue to undergo temporary maintenance.
Qualitative changes await us after the system has eighteen or even nineteen operating devices, so the navigation signal will cover all of Russia without fail. ')
And, apparently, it is not long to wait for this. Two or three weeks left.
