PVS-Studio Code Analyzers - Russian technological startup

Technological entrepreneurship and startups - these topics always attract a lot of attention from people in Habré. My story is about our young company “Software Verification Systems” ( OOO “Program Verification” ), which develops and sells a set of static code analyzers PVS-Studio . Now, PVS-Studio includes two analyzers: Viva64 for searching 64-bit errors and VivaMP for searching for “parallel” problems in the source code of C / C ++ applications.


The company “Program Verification LLC” (“Program Verification Systems”) was established in March 2008 in the city of Tula (200 km from Moscow). We are engaged in the creation of the replicable mass software product PVS-Studio for software developers. The PVS-Studio software product is a set of code analyzers designed for developers of modern resource-intensive applications. PVS-Studio is implemented as an extension module for Visual Studio 2005/2008 environment. Combining the capabilities of analyzing 64-bit and parallel code, PVS-Studio allows you to develop, test, perform migration and verification, and as a result, create applications in C and C ++ languages ​​with a high level of reliability.

This is technically quite a complex product, so it is used in companies with a high level of software development.

Our software is sold only through the Internet, since most users are foreigners. The software product of the company is intended for sales to software developers all over the world, has an interface and documentation in English, as well as online documentation in Russian and English. Buyers of the product are companies or departments of companies engaged in software development, both for their own needs and to order. Among the 20 existing users of our product, 17 are foreign companies and 3 companies from Russia and Ukraine.



We try to attract potential users not with product advertising, but with useful information posted on our website. Therefore, the section " Resources for Developers " on our website is quite popular. It contains our articles and reviews of other articles on the development of 64-bit and parallel applications, as well as on code analysis. We also blog on these topics.

At present, the main way to promote OOO ControlPro and PVS-Studio software on the market is to write and publish articles on the development of 64-bit and parallel programs. The company’s website contains more than sixty articles in Russian and English on these topics.

In addition to posting articles on their own website, articles are actively published on resources popular with programmers.

The site has a section "Terminology", which contains definitions of terms used in our articles.

All these actions lead to the fact that 50% of the site has traffic from search engines. Although we consider this a good indicator, it is over its increase that we will work first.
