Nein, Internet Explorer!

image After the recent cyber attacks on Google and news about all the new vulnerabilities in Microsoft Internet Explorer, the Information Security Authority of Germany (BSI) asked its citizens to avoid using IE until there are updates that close many security holes. In particular, the appeal concerned the last three versions of the browser (hello to you, habrachelovek with IE5!). A BSI representative also noted that it is these security gaps that allow attackers to block Windows.

Microsoft, of course, immediately stated that the damage caused by this message is small and that they are working on a series of patches that fix the problems that caused the discontent. Partially, the vulnerability in the browser can be closed in the settings, indicating a “high” level of security, which, however, limits the functionality of many sites, and some of them blocks it altogether. However, even disabling Javascript does not make IE completely safe! It is not yet known how the German Internet Explorer users will respond to the call to use an “alternative” browser, but the sediment will not matter.

What we see: Chrome, Firefox, Opera (order alphabetically!) Are increasing their market share every day, releasing all sorts of updates and improvements, presenting new concepts and ideas to users. And what about Internet Explorer? If Microsoft does not take decisive action, the position of IE can become quite critical. It would be interesting to hear about the development and improvement of the Internet Explorer. What can help Microsoft return users to their browser? Or nothing can be done, and this is a complete collapse of IE?

Ps. I know that a similar topic already exists , but I (and I don’t think I’m alone) don’t know German, and in the comments there’s nothing but sracha.

UPD: Please, in order to avoid sracha, not to write comments like “I don't care, I use Chrome / FF / Opera, and IE has always been ...” and so on.
