MS Shortcut Link

Who now just does not shorten the URL. Google , YouTube , Facebook , and do not forget about bit.ly. What was missing was Microsoft.

A UK My Microsoft Life blog noted that some of the Bing search engine employees marked the beginning of tweeting using binged.it . Microsoft has confirmed that for the time being it is only for internal use and is likely to be available for public access in the near future.
But the oddity of binged.it is that the domain name of the shortcut actually contains one more character than the actual Bing domain itself , including “.COM”. Why not use bing.com? I don’t know how much Microsoft paid for the Bing domain, but I’m sure it wasn’t cheap. And wasn’t the choice of domain partly due to the desire to have a domain shorter than google? Why they did not choose any bin.gd is not clear.

It remains only to take stock:
Google - goo.gl - 5 characters
Facebook - fb.me - 4 characters.
Bing - binged.it - 8 characters
(Although as already mentioned - Bing.com - 7 characters).
')
Apparently they are not ready to compete in the length of MS links.
