I, like many programmers, after
Linus Torvalds' famous
speech on Git on Google Talks became interested in distributed version control systems, and in particular Git.
I am pretty fluent in English, but it is more pleasant for me to read in Russian, subject to normal translation.
There is a wonderful book
“Git Magic” by Ben Lynn.
Thanks to the work of many people came the first draft of this book. All who wish to improve the translation - I invite under the cat.
This is a preliminary, draft version and if you have a desire to improve it, then it is necessary:
')
$ git clone git://github.com/mifistor/gitmagic-ru.git #
$ cd gitmagic-ru/ru/ #
$
$ git diff > fix.patch # patch, , mifistor@gmail.com
If you want to see the result in the form of a book, then you can compile it in the required format:
$ make book.pdf LANG=ru # pdf- .
$ make LANG=ru # HTML, pdf xml-
Or download the already
compiled file (PDF, 490 Kb) .
I thank for the help of all participants in the translation. Active will be included in the "thanks" section after the end of the work.
PS I would be grateful for the advice on how to assemble a book with the correct table of contents, because with asciidoc & xmlto not familiar.
