Error 2010
A couple of days ago, friends asked to “fix the laptop”, after examining the patient, it was decided to reinstall the operating system. Put WindowsXP Home. The problem manifested itself when I tried to connect to my home access point, and when I tried to connect to the wireless access point, I simply stopped seeing the access point.
A lot of drivers were tried and many dances with a tambourine were performed. I took almost all the day and finally decided to take the device home, pick it up again. All manipulations with the laptop did not result in anything. There was a suspicion of a non-working WI-FI card, but after installing it into my laptop (I have exactly this, specifically atheros ar5006x), it started up instantly, I saw the network, connected and started working as it should. I was completely puzzled, and since the time was later I went to bed. In the morning I got the idea to transfer the time to a year ago (I do not know where it came from) and reinstall the driver on WI-FI. And the MIRACLE, to the access point to cling with a bang and works just fine. For the purpose of the experiment, I am pulling down a driver, putting 2010 and again getting a picture from yesterday.
As a result, I installed the driver “in 2009”, then changed the year to the current one, checked it, it works as it should. This problem has wildly interested me, but on this particular case I did not find anything. But there were a few more “problems 2010”, and specifically with Symantec and SpamAssassin .
