Behind the careful study of new products presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2010), we completely forgot about the fact that behind every ultra-modern device there is a team of designers who worked hard to meet the deadline. In his blog , Lenovo writes about the Lenovo Skylight smartbook. You may not be a fan of the device itself, but you might be interested in how the designer Richard Sapper created the device in just a few weeks.
The schedule was so tense that Sapper began to create a concept even before Lenovo officially commissioned him to develop the design. The master did not regret himself: he worked even during leisure time — in hotels and homes of his friends. And the idea to make a case of olive wood was born by chance, when at a party he met a master who made violins. Sapper also provided a folding USB port in the mini-laptop between the keyboard and the bottom of the screen. And there, where the memory card is now located, according to Sapper, there should have been a telephone receiver. ')
