D + ropop. Cardboard Robo Dummies

To create robotic dummies showing clothes, the Japanese company Eager used a rather unusual material. Instead of the standard plastic product of this kind, recycled corrugated cardboard was used.

From this we can easily conclude that the "cardboard robots" can be disposed of several times simpler than ordinary ones. In this regard, Eager and presents them as "the most environmentally friendly and cheap to produce robots in the world."

The company demonstrated them at the IREX 2009 International Exhibition of Robots, recently held in Tokyo. Animated dummies, according to the company's assurances, will surely attract the attention of buyers. Dummies can be exhibited in shop windows, used at various events and in other places.

Mannequins, called the company D + ropop, have a "height" of about 1.8 meters and weighs only about 6 pounds.
To attract the attention of passersby several engines set in motion the arms and head of the robot.
Mannequins can be painted or made of cardboard with a company logo printed on it, unless, of course, they are used only for displaying clothes.

Despite the light weight and incredibly cheap material, mannequins have a pretty decent price. For stores wishing to purchase them, they will cost from $ 5,400 and higher, and the rental of each dummy will be $ 1,800 per week.
