Russian national Internet film award "George"

From January 11 to January 29, the first round of Georges Prize voting is held in 2009. The Russian national Internet film award Georges is the first non-commercial film award in Russia founded by LJ bloggers and based on the voting of ordinary moviegoers, not film industry experts. "George" - the most independent and closest to the viewer film award in Russia. And, not least, our film-mates are really awarded to the winners. Among the winners are Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. This year, Georges will be awarded for the sixth time. Now much has changed: new nominations have appeared, the voting format has changed, the award has finally acquired a full-fledged independent representation in the network and has gone beyond the limits of LiveJournal. But one thing remains unchanged: who will eventually get the movie-mattes - is decided by a vote, in which everyone can take part. The results of the Georges Award are the free choice of the people. The second round of voting will be held in February, and the award ceremony will be held in March.
