yoName - social network meta-search

yoName is a meta-search engine that allows you to find people in several different social networks by nickname, first name and last name or email address.

At first I tried to find my friend by his name. I knew that he had an account on MySpace. yoName did a search on various social networks, or to be more precise, on Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, Xanga, Match.com, Windows Live Spaces, LinkedIn and Digg, after which it gave funny results: possible matches were displayed on different networks, however nothing was found on MySpace.

However, if you use a more well-known keyword, the result will be the same. I know a lot of music groups that have their own page on mySpace, so I decided to choose one of them - Wolfmother. In this case, I got the Wolfmother page on MySpace, but besides it there are tens of thousands of other pages that Wolfmother is mentioned on, their videos, etc.

When you get the results, you can quickly see the first ten accounts on one page. This is not very convenient if you want to view them all, but if you are looking for a specific person, then there is no need for that. Sometimes due to advertising banners, thumbnails are slightly shifted, but still read.
