Reportedly, some corporate clients for more than a month have not been able to activate Microsoft software products due to problems with the server that checks these DRM licenses.
In early December, for the first time, Microsoft has closed the
Volume Licensing Service Center for service with the goal of making a single online license service that would unite several previously existing sites and would be a safer and more reliable solution. However, the service is still not working properly. Microsoft customers
complain on Twitter that they have to hang on the help desk phone for six hours to solve problems with logging into their account or losing purchased licenses. One of the users, in his own words, just started to go crazy, because for a month he could not get access to the purchased software.
Microsoft in the official blog has already
apologized for the inconvenience. The company recommended users, who still have problems, to ask for help via e-mail or via twitter (apparently, telephone support is heavily overloaded).
