CES 2010: Sanyo Unveils Eneloop Hybrid Electric Bike

At the world's largest electronics trade show CES 2010, which is taking place in Las Vegas this year, Sanyo decided to surprise everyone with its hybrid electric bike.

Well, it’s necessary to admit that they really succeeded - and they did it well, because Best Of Innovation CES 2010 isn’t just giving away.

Eneloop is at first glance, almost the most ordinary bicycle, but it is not quite so. All thanks to a 250W DC electric motor, a battery of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 5.7 ampere-hours and, of course, a controller located on the handlebar grip that will allow you to control the bike.

4 driving modes are assumed:

- "Automatic" - implies the inclusion of additional assistance to the driver, which is carried out independently, depending on the site and conditions of movement;

- “Standard” - an electric motor provides a movement speed equal to the person’s moving speed at a quiet pace.

- "Auxiliary" - the electric motor enters into the business only at the start, acceleration and movement to the top and in difficult road sections.

- “Power Up” - the engine is always on.

It is assumed that on a single charge Eneloop can travel from 30 to 80 km depending on the driving mode and load. Also, the function of recharging the battery during braking and descent from the slide will be very useful.

Eneloop initially looks very attractive in terms of means of transportation for a wide range of people, but if it were not for its price, which would approximately be $ 2300.
