Cairo shell is now open source
Literally 12 hours ago, in the official blog of Cairo shell, it was announced that the project had become an OpenSource. A git repository has been opened on github.com.
For those who don’t know, I’ll note that Cairo Shell is an alternative shell for Windows Vista and Windows 7. Windows XP is not officially supported and no tests are performed.
At the moment, you can download the public alpha version of Milestone 1.9 from September 22. Unfortunately, there are no main “killer” features in it, such as: a dynamic desktop and several desktops. In the alpha version there is a beautiful socket, tray, as well as a taskbar and support for themes (which do not yet exist).
