Touchscreen calibration and sensitivity

Correct me if I am mistaken, I don’t remember that the touchscreen calibration was on the iPhone :-)
However, the touch iPhone is praised, and the rest is compared with it.

Periodically, I notice resentment about resistive and capacitive touchscreens, perhaps one of the reasons for all sorts of problems with them is incorrect calibration.

Why?

Some time ago, I realized that (iPhone lovers ask me) after the third version of the firmware, my iPhone began to work 10 to 13 hours no longer, regardless of whether I used it or not, and no, it's not about the battery.

On this sad note we broke up.

I had to buy my wife a new phone, and for myself (at the time of searching for a sane phone), I took her HTC Touch :-)
The main parameters: CPU 200 Mhz | 128 RAM | 256 flash.

And yes, I almost died from the Win Mobile 6 interface.

Having shot him everything I could, I began to look for ways to improve his perception.
After reading the forums, I discovered that there is a way to tweak a parameter in the registry and increase the flair of the touch.
Raised, and then decided to correct the calibration, and found that the flare disappeared again :-)
I climb into the registry and what do I see?
That's right, my sensitivity settings have been changed successfully.
I conclude that the calibration of the wheel does not only calibrate the coordinates, but also the sensitivity, but this was news to me.
I check this theory, re-calibrate the touch with light taps.
I climb into the registry and find that the sensitivity has become higher :-)

When you calibrate the touchscreen how much do you push it?
I think for confidence and accuracy, we do it not weakly and certainly not touching lightly.

With normal calibration, pressing on the touch is not very strong and not very weak, a value of approximately 9000 units is written to the registry.
A comfortable value for me is 20,000 units.

These are the pies.

Try it.
In principle, it is not necessary to set a parameter in the registry, but you can calibrate the touch with a slight touch, or here is the path in the registry where you can configure this thing yourself:
hkey_local_machine / drivers / touchpanel / pressurethreshold

But since it will be reset immediately after the next calibration, in my opinion it is easier to just remember what to touch the screen during calibration should be barely barely.
