HTC Smart - an experiment from HTC with Brew MP on board

Today, the official Russian-language Twitter HTC announced the announcement of the new smartphone HTC Smart. Smart is nothing like the HTC Touch B , information about which slipped 2 more months ago. However, the smartphone is now officially announced.

Unlike the original rumors, the HTC Smart does not work on Android, but on the OS Brew MP. Brew MP is an OS and SDK from Qualcomm’s SoC manufacturer.

Externally, the smartphone is similar to the HTC Touch2, but has much more modest characteristics: SoC Qualcomm 300 MHz (exact model not reported), 256 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM, 2.8 "resistive touch screen, 3 MPc camera. About the presence of WiFi, GPS, magnetic compass - not reported.

It is very difficult to imagine who this phone is focused on, but according to rumors the estimated price of the device is $ 250. It seems that HTC set out to join the battle for a segment of low-end touch-screen smartphones, but instead of a full-fledged OS, it offers no one tried Brew MP, but together with HTC Sense.
