For those who do not want to watch the full Microsoft presentation at CES 2010, which took place today, I would like to make a slight squeeze of key topics and data presented in the presentation (according to the degree of interest):
Natal's revolutionary Xbox project will be available this year for Christmasin November . Now they are preparing games for this project;
Bing and MSN will be pre-installed on browsers in computers sold by HP around the world;
Ford, Fiat and Kia Motors use Windows Embedded in their cars;
Windows 7 has become the fastest-selling operating system in history, PC sales grew 50% a week after starting Windows 7, during the last Black Friday, 63% more PCs were sold than a year ago;
full PC monoblocks are presented: Sony VAIO L all-in-one with a 24-inch screen and a Lenovo A300 with 21.5-inch and only 18 mm thick;
the new Mediaroom 2.0 system is introduced with the ability to combine PC, TV and telephones in one room to view video content and control all devices;
Xbox user base has reached 39 million users, sold 500 million games;
Xbox Live now has 20 million active users;
a week between Christmas (Catholic) and the new year, Xbox Live set a new record: 2.2 million simultaneous online users;
Xbox social services introduced in 2009 (twitter, facebook, last fm) attracted 10 million users;
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, Crackdown 2, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Fable 3 and Halo Reach exclusively for Xbox 360 will be released in 2010. Addition for Modern Warfare 2 will be released for Xbox a week earlier than for other platforms;
A new Game Room service for Xbox will be launched - a service of classic arcades from famous brands, 1000 games for three years.
A good start of the year for Microsoft. So far, not a word about Office 2010 and Windows Mobile 7, but let's wait for other events of the year, for example, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
